Abstract

The increasing growth of creative economy actors has also encouraged high interest in jobs in the creative industry as freelance workers. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The phenomenological approach aims to describe the social actions that occur in freelance workers at ISI Surakarta. This qualitative research uses the purposive sampling technique and data collection using in-depth interviews and portfolio observation. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's analysis techniques, namely interactive data analysis and Max Weber's social action theory. Students who work freelance do so consciously with careful consideration of the consequences obtained from freelance work. Freelance work has also become a genetic and cultural heritage of ISI students themselves. The facts found in the field show that freelance work in the ISI Surakarta environment belongs to social acts of instrumental and traditional rationality.

The results of the study found that the mobility of people moving to the city was unavoidable. It was the movement of students to continue their higher education in urban areas, approaching the college campus while students were studying. Group cohesiveness is an essential part for students who live in urban areas. Students are expected to be able to establish interactions between their fellow groups in order to achieve the group's goals. The cohesiveness of student groups living in urban areas can be seen from the organizations they participate in, both internal and external campus organizations. The level of cohesiveness will significantly affect organizational commitment. It depends on how far the group's goals are similar to the organization. Group cohesiveness is established through interactions in the form of good communication between group members. The existence of mutual liking and having a sense of mutual interest will make the group strong.

Abstract

Various gender-biased films still place women as weak and only occupy tasks in the domestic sphere. There is still a public perception that women cannot carry out significant tasks in the public sector. This study aims to represent girl power and the resistance to female domestication through film media based on these problems. This study uses a qualitative method of John Fiske's semiotic analysis, including the code level of reality, representation, and ideology. The study results show that the power of women in the Charlie's Angel (2019) movie has intellectual abilities. They can become a leader, fighting negative stereotypes of society by maximizing the power of skills possessed, including self-defense, disguise, shooting, and a programmer who can hack security. The women in this film prove their resistance to women's domestication by working in the public sector, namely in an international-scale investigative security organization called the Townsend Agency.

Abstract

The RI-RDTL border became an area of conflict between the communities in Makir Village and Lamaksenulu Village. This conflict often results in several criminal acts such as burglary, theft of livestock, confiscation of water to rice fields. Coupled with low physical development conditions, for example, the unavailability of clean water and heavily damaged road access, increase the poverty rate. This conflict factor is also caused by the lack of attention from the government, both in terms of education. Through this case study, the social reality of the border conflict in the RI-RDTL Border Region of the Belu Regency will be revealed. By using the theory of democracy as a theoretical framework, the purpose of this study is to propose a model for strengthening local institutions in disaster management. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. Focus Group Discussions (FGD) using technical comparison data were also conducted to increase the validity of the data obtained. The findings of this study are in the form of a model for strengthening local indigenous peoples' institutions in the form of Ti'sian Tak Ni'an in Makir and Lamaksenulu Villages. This model is expected to create a sense of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and community participation in sustainable development planning. Empowerment and capacity building of these communities can encourage them to lead a better and more prosperous life.

Abstract

This study describes an assessment instrument based on Higher-Order and Thinking Skills (HOTS) made by students of the Teacher Profession Program (PPG) Daljab I batch 2021. This research is a descriptive study. The population of this study was 34 students of Daljab I Group I batch 2021, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa Yogyakarta. The research sample consisted of 9 students from the DIY Province. The data and data sources used are assessment instruments (questions) that are compiled while students are taking PPG and have been uploaded in the form of Learning Tools III. The data analysis technique uses Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results show that from 9 samples, 96 questions were obtained. Of the 96 items, 65 questions are HOTS (68.8%) and 31 questions are not HOTS (32.2%). The instrument questions that were made did not meet the HOTS due to the following reasons. 1) Questions that have not been HOTS are still below C3. 2) Some questions do not use a stimulus, but there are some HOTS questions that use a stimulus in the form of discourse, stories, and pictures; 2) Some questions have not been taken from the context of the real world/daily life; 3) some of the questions given do not contain critical, logical, metacognitive, and creative thinking processes. 4) Some of the questions have not applied the rules for multiple choice/explanation/filling questions.
